LAHEMAA NATIONAL PARK
At 72,500ha, Lahemaa (meaning "land of bays") is one of Europe´s largest protected forest areas.
Lahemaa is host to 838 higher plants including 26 rare species, 100 different moss species, 150 species of pileate mushrooms, more than 50 mammal species including wild boar and elk, and more than 222 different bird species.
The 18th Century Palmse Manor now functions as a museum and offers tours through the restored mansion. There is also a wooded park, swan lake and garden within the manor complex. You may also visit an exhibition of old cars, bikes
The drive from Tallinn to the Lahemaa National Park takes about 1 hour. Visit Palmse manor, Sagadi manor, Altja fisherman`s village, Käsmu seamuseum, and enjoy a walk in the great outdoors.
Return to Tallinn in the afternoon.
